Barring a hiccup of some kind over the next 48 hours, we'll pack up his belongings in Room 3 of the NICU and nestle him into a car seat. Then we will say our goodbyes to all of the wonderful nurses and doctors who happen to be on duty at the time and, finally, press the intercom to be buzzed out of the unit, with our son in tow.
Here's a photo of Eli resting today in his bed at the hospital; below is his crib in our bedroom at home.

This is fantastic news! We can't wait for Martin and Colin to get to hang out with Eli. It's going to happen sooner than we all think.

We can't wait to see you at the NICU reunion in central park! Michael and I are so thrilled for you and crossing all fingers and toes.
That's terrific news! We are very happy for all 3 of you. He looks so big and happy (Eli that is). Enjoy the first weeks at home. Once you're all settled Kirstin and I would love to introduce our Ingrid (6 months) to Eli.
